PRO - AML Functional Components

The PRO - AML solution comprises of a suite of modules for different detection tasks and the alert and match handling workflow. PRO - AML checks transaction data as well as databases (i.e. customer databases). PRO - AML is comprised of the following components:

  • Namechecking
The solution has standard import functionalities for the automated import of lists (embargo lists like EU or OFAC sanction lists or PEP databases or internal black lists etc.) The name matching is done with a fuzzy string matching algorithm which allows find-ing similar names even if they are spelled in a different way or some parts of the names are distorted or omitted.
The charactersistics of the solution are the highest detection quality, the efficient workflow for the compliance and the complete audit trail for a gapless monitoring of all the activities.
  • Analytical services
The PRO - AML analytical services is a set of an analytical solutions for building, deploying and managing the classification and segmentation modelsand include the advanced art of clustering, machine learning, optimization methods and a unique automated process to find optimized (error minimized) detection models.
  • Repository and repository management tools
The p.Lib repository is a hierarchical structure where objects of different types are stored and managed in a uniform way. In the PRO - AML solution the p.Lib repository is shared as a universal infrastructure between all the modules and it is used as a container for business rules, customer segmentation and classification models, sanction , PEP  and black lists, configuration data, processing scripts and instructions.
  • Business Rules engine and the business rule designer
These components provide the functionality needed for defining the rules representing the business logic of the system in a visual way and for integrating these rules in a transparent way into the general processing workflow.
  • Link Analysis engine and user tools
The p.LAC Link Analysis engine allows finding the chains of linked transactions, linked accounts and customers in the financial data and linked objects in any other data. The integrated tools allows visualization of the chains’ structure and browsing the found groups in a user friendly way.
  • Automated processing workflow management component
The workflow management component runs the execution scenarios which are flexibly defined within the p.Business Rules engine and stored in the p.Lib repository.
  • Data aggregation services
The data aggregation services collect and provide other components with the key statistics and meta information about the customer, account and transaction data. It also updates and supports the peer group profiles.
