Atel is an independent Swiss provider of services related to energy production, trading and sales as well as energy technology across Europe. Atel operates power stations across Europe: in Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic and Germany. After careful review of the existing Corporate Risk Management platform in 2007, Atel chose to replace it with the Avanon solution, which provided more flexibility with regard to data administration, risk capture, process definition, workflow and reporting. Scalability was also a deciding factor, as was speed of implementation to meet the new Swiss regulatory requirements for Internal Controls.
