Controlling - Business wide Online-Reporting
A sub-module of the Business Scorecard (BS), the Business Dashboard (BD) provides the full reporting functionality of the BS, without taking the classical process approach of the Balanced Scorecard theory (Mission/Vision, Strategic Objectives etc.). As such it can provide a 'tableaux de bord' entry-level solution to starting on the road towards full implementation of a Balanced Scorecard.
The BD module includes all the most important functions necessary for the management of objectives, initiatives and indicators:
- Graphical representation of indicator
- Manual or automatic editing of values
- Inclusion of 'Identity cards' defining and describing each indicator
- Attachment of documents from other applications
- Trigger and e-mail functions
- Trend calculation and early-warning features (traffic lights)

Moreover, the fully web-enabled application permits the online editing of values and therefore enables the decentralized administration of Scorecards/Dashboards. A BSC project started, using the BD module, can be easily adapted to the classical process approach, and be enriched with the other functions of the BS modules, without problems at a later date. Similar to the other modules, the BD is defined by its ease of implementation and minimal training requirement.
